Child Friendly Spaces

A child-friendly space (CFS) is an environment designed to help children feel safe, calm, and comfortable while they are interacting with practitioners.

A child-friendly space is about more than just the physical space. It is about how children feel when they are in this space. This requires professional and skilled staff who uphold standards of care and ensure sustainability over time. Our model for developing and sustaining a child-friendly space is the 4S approach:
